It's also important to use these aspects of your identity in your every day life. I believe that keeping healthy means living a life in accordance with your goals, values and what you love. If family is important to you, make sure you spend time with them. If dancing, or rugby, or netball is important to you, make sure you find a way to incorporate it in to your life. Speak to your doctor about what's important to you, and how it can be a part of your life. Living a life in accordance with a positive identity will lead you to be a happier, healthier person, and make it easier to handle the challenges illness throws at you.
Think about how you can map out your identity. How can you incorporate a part of your identity into your everyday life?
I've been getting great feedback on the site, and want to thank everyone for their support.
